There was a bush wax bean named Hodson listed in the SSE yearbook. The last two references were in 2008.

Hi drloyd, I came across your question last night while searching for sources of what I know as Hodson silver wax bean. I was given 17 seads around 2003, by a young woman of the Mohawk peoples. She said she knew of only one family that had carefully kept this bean for generations and that it was exceedingly rare. OK, so that felt like a huge honor to be entrusted with this handful of beans, so I have faithfully been growing them out and saving their seeds ever since.

They are very beautiful, vigorous and prolific. I was looking for sources of the seed because I thought it would be good to outcross and diversify the genetics since I started with such a small number of parent seeds.

Hi Joyfarm. It was Law_kid who was trying to find this bean and I was just trying to help. I am hoping that he/she will see your post. I do not know of any other way to contact them. I just now checked to see if SSE has any more information but was not able to fine anything,

All the existing seed for some varieties such as Non-Tough Half Runner and Frank Barnett came from a single plant so what you have is probably fine. - Dick
