Teaspoon is FAB! Bridegroom is still young for me.

The hybridizer of Stitch in Time spoke at the MN Hosta Society meeting in April. He shared that the reason it is so expensive is that in the TC process, it often loses its stitching. Only about 1/3 of them make it out of the TC process "stitched". I believe he's also giving the same talk at the AHS convention this week.

I had two Stitch in Time's that I bought from Naylor Creek last spring. Neither one made it through the winter even though they seemed to be doing so well. I am trying again and for the last time this year. I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

I have had Teaspoon for a year. Initially it was in pretty heavy shade; I just recently moved it to get more sun (particularly in the morning), and it's beginning to take off.

Year three for Stitch in Time and it's still the same size and single division as the first year I bought it. But it is really cool!
I love Bridegroom too!

I also had two from Naylor Creek in 2008. (They often send two divisions of some of the newer tc's when you order.) Both started out stitched. In 2009 one put up an all green eye which I removed, and that same division was a no show for 2010. The other one has grown nicely. It is still one eye, but a bigger one, with larger leaves each year.

Save your $$$ not worth it.
Either my TC was insufficient or the plant is a dud.
I would like to think dud because of the % of them that don't make it...finally died after 3 years. Never again.

Talked to whom I got it from...no comment just said it's slow. I don't think so.

Other growers will not offer it again for lack of viability. Save you $$

There are nicer hostas out there for the money.

It is slow but it's a real pretty hosta. I also lost my first one, the second one is going into its third year. If you have several hundred hostas you will want it for your collection.
