How many MGs do you have in your county? We have approximately 120 in our large suburban county. We're having an Open House next weeek for the public, trying to raise more interest in the program. It's the first time we've done this so we don't have any idea how many people may show up. Our classes start in February and run for 2 months.

Learning the correct language is a requirement in almost any new adventure and without it communication does not work. I have several references I use to convert the common names I read here on the GardenWeb to the botanical name so I know what plant is being discussed. Al

So far all are doing well. The scientific-plant-name-complainer saw the error of her ways and is slowly making the change over. Many of the "seedlings" have been overwhelmed by the amount of information thrown at them but are starting to grasp the "it's more important to know where to look for info than to be able to instantly regurgitate it" concept. We just had phone-in orientation and that went over well.
So, all things considered, everyone is making progress. We have a good class this year and they should all make great MG's!
