The common name is jewelweed. I think it is a native form of impatiens said to thwart poison ivy but that's folklore.

Yes, that is jewelweed-impatients family-don't remember off hand the botanical name.
No need to transplant-they'll do plenty of that on their own by reseeding & can become a nuisance. The seed pods are almost identical to impatients, they prefer shade/ps. There is also a yellow variety

In my experience, jewelweed hasn't thwarted poison ivy, but once you've got it, it has been my experience that a jewelweed tincture does, indeed help soothe the itch and spread of poison ivy.

For two years in a row, my family has gotten into it (poison ivy) and I'm glad that it (jewelweed) does spread like a, well, weed!
