How wonderful! So far, I have daffodils and grape hyacinth.... my bluebells are in a flat under lights and are 3/4" to 1" high.... can hardly wait for next year with those :-) Most people wish for sun, but I wish I had more shady area. As it is, the bluebells will use up quite a bit of the shade I do have (along with hostas). I might just find room for a few jack-in-the-pulpets though!

Everything is so far along this year, it feels like the middle of May, and I absolutely LOVE IT!

My dogtooth voilets have also started opening. They are one of my favorite spring flowers. The wild hyacinths are still going strong, some white wild violets are opening and the bloodroot finishing. I'm watching for the trillium and jack-in-the pulpit.

The wild ginger are opening too!

Also, my trout lilies are the white variety.

Here in the "boonies" most of the wildflowers are beginning to wake up, as are the perennials, but blooming at this time are only bloodroot & hepatica, and my pulmonarias are in bloom way ahead of schedule, the leaves are still so small but they are blooming away!
It is so much fun to go out and check out the yard, every day something new has poked it's head out or has grown inches overnight!

against the house east facing I have daffodils, tulips, and bleeding hearts blooming.

in the other parts of the garden I have mini-irises, grape hyacinths and crocus all in bloom.

many perennials also starting to make an appearance.

Our first flower of the spring was the Hepatica! Then a few crocus that the squirrels missed, and something really cute that is mixed in with a foam flower. The mayapples are just starting too!

I checked the elderberries - they are starting to put out green growth! Thanks Marie!

my bleedingheart are beautiful, there is one yellow tulip with several very close and 3 little crocus that the rabbits missed. I do this is the last time I am going to feed the rabbits crocus.

Everything is a month ahead this year. My tulips that usually bloom in May are blooming! And the daffodils on the south side next to the house bloomed in March and are all done now. Unbelievable.

Some Dutchman's Breeches opened yesterday!

My daffodils are done already too. I have scilla blooming that I planted last fall so cute..And my magnolia is almost done too but the plums are just starting. I have too pale pink and one hot pink tulip.

As for perennials; delphiniums are way up and wild geraniums, hollyhocks, oriental poppies, peonies and lots of lilies. ....
Still waiting and hoping for about 6 tearoses to show signs of life and the martagon and black beauty lillies I planted last spring (these were the most stunning thing in my garden last year)

It's now at the stage in my gardens that were I to list the ones up here you'd all start snoring... I have a few things blooming, and my roses - all hardy - are exploding with green. I may have to beat back Mary Queen of Scots with a stick... nah... I'll just 'prune' her after blooming with a few propogation pots for the three lucky folks I have on my list, oh and one of Darlow's Enigma... I haven't forgotten Leaveswave!
