We got married on April 18, 1983. I thought there might be tulips blooming about then. That year Spring was late. There weren't any tulips blooming or even daffodils and snow flurries were predicted. I'm not sure if it did actually snow. We had the wedding inside. I remember another year when it was downright hot in April. Come to think of it it was hot in April 2004. April is pretty unpredictable around here. I'd try for May if I were you. I think the grass and lots of other things are that beautiful Spring green then.

I was having fence put in between 4/15 and 4/19 this year. Just looked at the photos and the grass was not only green but in serious need of mowing! The weeping cherry was in full bloom, and the crabapples and amelanchiers blooming too. Forsythia was at the end, and most trees wore just a hint of green. Late tulips were in bloom, hostas were up 8" inches and tiarellas were staring to foam.... A very pretty time of the year!
