It looks as if door/sidelight is one piece. Not the usual symmetrical look. I would rather see everything painted your trim color (no white anywhere) and bring color to the house with the shutters.
Storm is very victorian/lacy looking. Change that to a full view (grey) if you need one. If your door is metal a storm is redundant.
You have a cutie house.

We think your door would look great with a nice rich red or deep green color. We also recommend removing the screen door or replace it with a full screen door with no detail around it if you would like to keep the screen door.

I would change the color of you garage door to the same as the base of the house. I would go for white on the door and the side panel and the porch columns. If you have enough room on the porst I'd like to see the columns paired on either side.

The grasses are getting out of control (their one downside). They need to be reduces in mass.

I'm with Dytecture. Black will look nice. I think you need to paint the sidelight in the creamy color though, instead of black as you had mentioned. I see that it is the tanish color now. Just paint it the same color that is on the trim (sidelight). And as others have said, the screen/storm door needs to go!

Rust or red were the first colors to come to my mind.

HI -- Yes, paint the whole door and side and surround trim a satin black or a brownish black like "Willow" by BM. Now the trim on the front window should be the color of the siding or posts.

Thanks Everyone. I really like the idea of painting the garage door the same colour as the siding. You have all given me some great ideas for my home. Although I am saddened that no one likes my screen door, not sure what to do about that unless we move it to the back door and put a new one in the front. (We really enjoy have a screen door b/c it is the only way to get a breeze into the main part of the house) Yes, the grass in the corner of the house is getting out of control...it is my husbands (a landscaper!) favourite plant. He will be splitting it this fall! On a side note, b/c of the drought this year it is considerably shorter than in past years... usually by now it is taller than the house!)

PS. Can you even paint the vinyl trim of a window?

The screen door already pops too much I think and this is ruining the symmetry of the house. Once that green monstrosity is replaced with something lower that doesn't obscure the window on the right, the house will look heaps better. I agree that painting the garage door the same color as the siding would balance the house better but I don't think that's imperative. I'm thinking painting the screen door the color of the garage door and painting the siding and the siding on the porch pediment a muted terracotta color could really enhance the appearance of the house and give it the pop you're seeking. Alternatively, keep it neutral and get lots of color into the garden.
