Are you asking how your furniture should be placed?

Doesn't have to be our exact furniture. We bought some pieces just to fill space because we were struggling with the whole thing.

You are working with an interior fireplace wall with openings on each side. It is hard to get the true picture and dimensions of the room but this arrangement might work for you.

HI -- You have too many openings accented with white. Paint all the white openings the same color as the wall. Is that a window checked mirror.? If it is then it is too much with the windows already being the same. And fill in any opening you don't need so you can have some wall space.

Too much trying to mix cool blue / grey of the walls with warm neutrals. Since paint is cheaper than furniture, I'd say create a palette that is warm. Bring in some warmth with mustard, ochre, and even olive to match the furnishings.

Alternate would be to use slip covers to make furniture into cool hues for complimenting the wall

Balance and ordered placement of furniture also recommended.

I don't know if it is just me but the mantle seems drastically underwhelming. Perhaps bring in more period detail or beef it up to bring the prominence of a fireplace back into the living room to declare itself as center of the house.

OK - I agree with some of the comments here:
Add shutters to ALL of the windows, including the pass through - to help neutralize them - give a cohesive appearance.

YES - I would paint the trim the same color as the walls since you have so many openings - this will stop the room from looking like it has been outlined in white. Go one shade down - get the same color in a Satin Enamel - so you can wash it! Then add your shutters to all openings. This way they will look the same.

I would remove all the things from the mantel and add ONE or TWO simple pieces and get something larger to place above this to hold they from roving around the room - What about a beautiful painting - hung just about 2 inches above the mantle-piece? Too many little things around the room.

Your lovely little fainting sofa is wonky - can you turn this so the back (the small end) is to the door and feet are facing the FP? Not lengthwise?

You have many lovely things - but I just think off balance here. would highly recommend adding some more substantial lamps - with rounder, fatter bases - to bring the eye back into the seating area. You have a lot of legs in this room. Like on that credenza where the baskets are underneath - the candles are too small for the space. is that a mirror window there? Again - another window thing in your room - what about adding a large rectangular mirror here (verticle) and then adding a nice lamp - with a large base - like a lovely colored glass lamp? Interesting shade, pull and finial?

Is that a leather box under the window? Or an ottoman? could you use this for a coffee table - and pull some of the heavy dark weight from that side of the room?

I think you have lovely things - it is simply a matter of balance. Swap the upholstered chair with the legged leather chair - this will also help with visual balance.
