The best are the Lonicera periclymenum varieties except for the one Monrovia sells using the Berries Jubilee trade name which I see looking poorly at local outlets.

Japanese honeysuckle does not often grow wild out here, I have seen only a few very limited infestations, the single small patch I recall readily was in a warm (south-facing and bordered by trees) moist pocket next to a lake - it seems to be curtailed by summer drought. The only problem I have had with it is two plants growing for a time on Camano Island and then dying, as though tender to cold.
