If your site stays above ~10F most of the time try Morus nigra instead. The true black mulberry (as opposed to M. alba with black fruits) is a small, fig-like tree, supposed to produce large fruits of unmatched flavor - although for some reason the otherwise true-to-type one next door to me produces dinky ones that seem to me nothing special at all.
