aspirated mulch

Ok, I can't be the only person in the world stupid enough to have done this more than once, and I don't know which forum would pertain to this topic, though I suspect that any forum would do.

Two years in a row, while putting down my chopped-leaves mulch on the perennial beds, I have inhaled a small piece of chopped leaf. This year I think it was a bigger piece, and I am now coughing and hacking, and feel like it's stuck somewhere in my chest.

I assume that it will eventually dissolve (I sure hope it can't be propagated from tissue culture, LOL) and go away, and I suppose there is a chance of infection, but is this something I should see doctor about? Do other people do this too, or is it just me? I'm not done mulching, and will be wearing a mask for the rest of the job.
