Everything I have read indicates they are great performers so I planted two in March. :) We will see. I've avoided roses for years because of how much trouble they are.

I have three in my yard and one of my neighbors has 10. This will be the 3rd year. They do bloom almost all summer. I have had no problems with disease. They are 2-3 feet tall and almost 2 ft wide. We have the original dark pink but I have seen the lighter pink and red advertised.

Mine is about 6 ft tall now after 3 years, and blooms like crazy. The deer don't seem to notice it like my other roses either.

I have a pink flower carpet rose that I planted about 7-8 years ago. It is very tough, disease and bug resistant and blooms from about June to really late - one year I had a few roses at Christmas! It is sited where it gets about 6-7 hours of sun a day. My only complaint is that it got huge. I thought it was supposed to be more of a creeper - but that plant hit about 8'x6'. This year I wacked it back and we'll see how it blooms.

To those of you that have grown both - would you recommend the Knockout roses over flowercarpet? Are the flowers any bigger? I want to plant more roses in a full light, but otherwise tough spot - very exposed to heat, wind and road. I don't like high maintenance and other roses I have grown seem to get hit with blackspot (not the flowercarpet though).
