Winter Sowing

Chatty today I know - sorry. I tried the (new to me) winter sowing method last January and I'm having about a 50% success rate with my plants. Has anyone else tried to do the winter sowing using milk jugs and placing them outside to germinate? They germinate when they are ready to, have stronger stems and have no reason to be hardened off. I would have had better success but I used seeds from all over the US and Canada from a seed echange I participated in last fall. If they were more to my climate I'm sure I would have done better.

But what I have are doing very well and when it finally gets better weather they will grow like weeds. Going to try a couple of Hyacinth (SP) bean vines in my yard this year. Love how they look. Anyone try them B4?
