When did you recieve them? And when did you plant them?

My mother sent a donation to the Arbor Day Society. I guess I got them in February, maybe March. I planted them immediately. Some I put in pots. Some I put in a holding bed. Of course the only ones I'm actually rather interested in were the ones with the fewest roots (Koelreuteria paniculata).

The Arbor Day Foundation is notorious for sending out stressed, even dead, plants. If they show no signs of life by now, chances are they will not but considering the minimal investment, it doesn't hurt to remain patient for a while longer. But I wouldn't get my hopes up either :-)

The cambium is still green (though if I keep scratching it there won't be any left), so I figure I've nothing to lose by waiting.

They're alive. At least some of them are. The crape myrtle, a dogwood, and at least one of the golden rain trees are showing signs of life. I haven't given up hope on the other two golden rain trees, but the other dogwoods are toast.
