Happy Memorial Day

Here's hoping everyone had a great Memorial Weekend, Lord knows the weather sure co-operated. We went to the cemetery up on Scenic Hill in Kent today where all four of our parents are buried. It was beautiful with all the flowers and all the flag lined drives. The place was packed, it was good to see that although so many things change, some very important ones stay the same :-)

Boxofrox, that bouquet is lovely, so full and beckoning to partake of the fragrance.

We went up to Mt Scott Willamette National Cemetery. Lots of flags, sunny weather. Cemeteries are wonderful peaceful places to gaze upon big trees. Nice to see big yews. Lots of horse chestnuts in bloom.

But they need to water. A lot of suffering trees with die-back from drought.

Hurts to see established trees withering. Water could save them and make them beautiful again.

So many hot sunny days in a row with no rain dries up the earth.
