Rose problems

I have a few questions about my roses. First, I have a rose that I realized is not getting enough sun because it's shoots are growing straight up and are tall with only a few buds. Is now an okay time to transplant it to a sunnier location? Also some of my other roses (that are planted in a sunny place)have leaves that are warped/curling. What can be causing this?

Roses can be moved pretty much any time of year here.

Are you sure it's not a root sucker taking over? they're tall with only a few buds too. At any rate, roses in this area need as much sun as you can get them, minimum 6 hours/day.

Curling leaves could be many different things. Powdery mildew for one, but kinda early for that. Aphids feeding on leaf buds before the leaves come out can cause curling too. As can frost damage to leaf buds. Leaves that are folded over and stuck together usually have a spider or a caterpillar inside. The spiders are harmless, and the caterpillars don't do much damage but eat a few leaves and roll them up for a shelter.
