Today was the day that we mounted out expedition to Rhododendron Lake. The Logging road had some washout but generally was not in bad condition. My little group took the short hike into the lake, enjoyed the flowers; had a tailgate picnic,visited the store in Coombs with the goats on the roof, and all in all had a super day! I know that the southern PNW have lots of wild rhodies,but so far I have only heard of 2 stands on Vancouver Island. I learned about this one from friends here on G/W. It was fun for us all to see more of our beautiful island.
