Yours is a nice setup for those tomatoes pictured on the website, but the varieties we plant would need a lot of coercion to espalier.

The 2x2s and 1x2s are bundled and reused every year. Also easy to toss a piece of plastic over late in the season to prevent cracking from early fall rains. The tomatoes rest on the 1x2s, no ties are used.

Nice touch. I like your tomato arbor. Lucky for us tomatoes are so accommodating to either a vertical or horizontal plane. I like your plastic idea for late season. I could simply poke the plastic through the posts and have a simple tomato tent. Brilliant!

That should work.

Our plastic has come out early this year because of the incessant rains--8" here since mid-May, we hope to keep the ground from puddling around the newly set-out plants.

This of course requires bailing out water pockets that form in the plastic. Your tenting would shed water better.

The setup just went back up yesterday for 2010.

The varieties vary year-to-year. The bottom image was probably ? and Lemon Boy. Usually have one paste tomato plant. I always campaign for Persimmon (orange), but my wife does not always include it in the year's selection. They are all grown from seed. We try one new variety per year, otherwise stick with what has worked in the past.

To finish the answer (bottom image only), Legend (red), Lemon Boy (yellow), Siberia (not in wood trellis). Total yield was just over 69 pounds.

Better get the plastic coverup ready for any rain as I heard on Brian Minter's program today that the early tomato blight which normally appears around mid July, has already hit some areas.
