Yes,it could be a Silver Birch.Is the trunk white? Brady

The trunk appears to be a very light grey color. Maybe white. The tree is so small now, it's hard to tell. You can see a little of it in the picture in the upper left hand corner.

Diamond shaped leaves with jagged edges on a birch tree that popped up in this area liable to be Betula pendula.
