PLC isn't an issue on apricot, cherry, plum, or pluot but is on peach and nectarine.

Pluots are basically Japanese plums only better. Pluots will grow most places where Japanese plums do well.

My favorite pluots are Flavor Supreme, Geo Pride, Flavor Grenade, Flavor King, Flavor Finale, and a couple you probably can't buy: Honey Punch, Flavor Treat, and Crimson Royale.

Sorry i wrote that kind of confusings. I meant PLC on peaches. I said I was after PLC resistant peaches and he said I shouldnt worry about it. Just ignore it and i'll be fine. Good to hear I can grow pluots. Is there any variety that would grow better than others?

Flavor Grenade does well for my buddy in Baltimore so might do well in your wet spring weather. It's a heavy setter and needs lots of thinning. My favorites for taste are Flavor Supreme and Flavor King. FS sets poorly unless hand pollinated and FK has a weak growing tree.

Apricots are extremely unreliable in Portland; the large tree on my block fruited heavily one year out of the last 25, few or no fruits in all other years.

Apricots, nectarines, pluots and apriums generally do not do very well in the Pacific Northwest or at least the western side of the Cascades. They like good winter chill, bloom very early so subject to late freezes, and need a hot summer to ripen fruit well. As Raintree says, pluots and apriums will do well where apricots thrive, ie. California's Central Valley and our own Yakima Valley.

Not so much here.
