The verdict is in on my hydrangeas 'Homigo'. I planted half a dozen 4" potted cuttings May 2004. All survived the winter and are now about 2' square. Each is LOADED with huge mopheads despite winter killing to the ground. They actually look sorta silly...the flowers are so huge and the shrubs are still small. I provided NO winter protection but did water regularily all last season. This year, they've been on their own for water also. These are the hydrangeas that start off 'Nikko' blue, turn very light green, and then finish by turning cherry red. I don't think hydrangeas get any easier in New England than these 'Homigo' fellas. Has anybody else planted them? I've heard lots about 'Endless Summer' but not 'Homigo'.
