This forum seems to be much more about the classic English garden, than about what they really grow in England in the late 20th or 21st century. You would be getting many more responses here if you were asking something off topic, like: "my cat is stuck in a tree" than you would by asking anything unusual or too far off the heavily beaten path. I started a thread about Abutilons that I thought would be very interesting. I was planning on update the thread with successus and failures. The plant is easily as interesting as Fuchsia, but I heard crickets.

Well, I don't mind answering the questions. The answer to your first three are no, no, and no. The tree looks great and you don't really need to do anything. It will 'fill out' more higher up as it gets older, hopefully (although it does have an open habit). 2 trunks isn't a problem. The red branches are older side branches that can be removed or not. I see no harm in leaving them on. The tree really looks good to me and I see no harm in leaving it as is.

Thanks Ian, that's what I thought (and why I left it alone up 'til now) but I had some worries about the trunks merging and causing injury.

Homernoy, thanks for the link. I do occasionally lurk on that forum and the hardy eucalyptus thread, but this is the forum I am most used to, and I am an old dog.

I also have a beautiful parvula about the same age and just planted coccifera. This is one of the colder spots in our area, hoping I will get to enjoy them for many years to come.

The standard rule is that if two branches, (or trunks), form a "V" crouch, then it will most likely be weak and fail during a weather event. If there is a ridge between the two of them, then it is fairly strong and you can safely leave them.

I agree with Ian though. If you like it then leave it since chances are that during its life time and before it gets large enough to cause any damage, an Artic blast will come through and kill it or set it back. If it was my tree, I would have removed the least desirable of the two, just in case it does survive long enough to become a problem.

Homernoy, I enjoy reading your post, even though I don't respond to them all the time. A follow up on Abutilons would be great. Last winter was hard on mine. I had two survive. Most were seedlings or cuttings, which might or might not have been the problem.
