These seeds are driving me mad. I've surfaced sowed after 2 weeks chilling in the fridge Eucalyptus Corymbia ficifolia seeds and so far nothing, there in a sandy medium with soil , i've got cling film over them as to where they wont dry out and i have them near a window to where they are getting diffused light. So far no success ...

Has anyone ever tried to grow these or might have some suggestions. I'm not sure why - yet - their not germinating.

About the only t hing I could locate online is that "Propagation of eucalyptus is by seed, using ripe seed capsules taken off trees."

I suspect they may need to be sown fresh. And not cold stratified.

"The A to Z Encyclopedia of Garden Plants" says "Sow seed at 55-64 degrees F (13- 18C) in spring or summer."

Ah, that's probably wow, its been in the 80's most days. Thank you both so much! These seeds have really stumped me. It seemed everywhere i read the information was slightly different.
