I just removed Asiatic Lilies from this space as they leaned too much looking for the southwest sun, I guess. This area is only 1 foot wide x 11 feet long and the block wall is 3 feet high. The vine I would like to see there should cover as completely as possible the block wall and as it gets the afternoon sun, I know those blocks will give considerable heat....Evergreen would be nice, but as I don't see it in the winter, not necessary. Fragrance would be a plus, but mostly I'm concerned with the fact that it has to lay fairly flat as the sidewalk is right there and can't stick out too far. I figure I can place a sheet of trellis or even use fishing line if it needs something to climb on. Any suggestions?
