compost bins

my plastic compost bin is 3/4 full with kitchen stuff etc and layers of soil. It is now also crawling with sow bugs and minature slugs. Should I put in some Safers slug bait to knock off the slugs? or just leave them? I am also planning to put on a layer of steer manure.

Beanthere: you do nothing just continue with it.Sometimes the slugs will go to stay protected.YOu are doing very good job.You definitely don't want to add any chemicals to kill any bugs.Your bin would benefit from mixing it and incorporate steer manure then.Good luck to you.All these bugs are playing role in composting so no worries.Just mix it before winter sets.
