I'm out in the San Juans but our nurseries don't carry any veg starts at this time of year....grrrrrrrr. Can anyone out there tell me WHERE on the mainland I could find some NOW? We can travel from Bellingham, south to Stanwood and anywhere in between.

I know this must sound like a c-r-a-z-y question, but a friend & I would really like to plant for a winter veg garden this year. Unfortunately, the seeds that were planted in mid-August never sprouted, or got eaten by the birds, and most of the little plants that made it got devoured by a wayward rabbit! Planting starts seems the best option now that it's so late in the game.
