Lest we forget........

Why we come to this forum. Here is a pic from earlier in the year of Earth Angel,Fried Bananas, and Olive Bailey Langdon for you to see. Well,I was going to paste a pic here, but now Photobucket doesn't have a paste option? What happened? Phil

My photobucket changed to hover the mouse over the photo and the paste section will drop down.

Yeah, mine does that, also, but where does it say cut,so you can cut and paste into the message? The cut portion doesn't appear any more like it used to. I guess this is the last time I will post a pic, unless someone else knows what is going on? Phil

    Phil,

I was able to left-click over the HTML code, then right-click and select COPY, then paste into Garden web.

Thanks,Cowboy! OK,here it is the aforementioned picture featuring Earth Angel,Fried Bananas, and OBL,and others in the background. Phil

    Ahh, Phil...that is PURDY!

In Photobucket, I just wave my cursor over the photo and the options appear below it. That is new. They used to be always there. Those options go away when I wave my cursor over another photo. One left click on HTML and it automatically says "copied". Then I come here and paste.

    Very nice,Butch!! Phil

Wow, Phil!! Was that pic. taken during the very dry year you had--2008? If so, they
seem none worse for wear because of their lack of rain!!! Very purdy, indeed!!!

Nice ones, of yours, too, John and Babka!!

    "Very nice,Butch!! Phil"

Sorry not mine, I didn't notice till I posted it, I have no coleus?

    The Patriot was Babka's!

    Here is one of mine.

Yes,Janice the pic was taken in May 2008,back when there actually WAS some rain. It didn't get dry until later! Hopefully,2009 will be better. Phil

How weird is that...I'm looking through a post and see my own photo posted by someone else with no comment that it isn't his!!!

Butch, I'm glad you liked my photo enough to copy and save it in your files, but in the future, please give credit to the owner of the photo, or at least say that it is not yours if you don't remember where you lifted it from. Hmmm, you have done this before.

Hey_j - Thanks for figuring out that it was mine.

There is a thread over in the kitchen forum where someone saw a photo of HER kitchen used in an ad for a contractor who had nothing to do with project. It had been lifted off the Finished Kitchens Blog. This prompted a bunch of searching for what does "copyrighted" mean.

I've discovered that all our photos are automatically copyrighted, with or without having it written on the photograph. I love looking at the posted photos of hostas and I like to copy and print some of the spectacular ones that I keep in my hosta scrap book to keep me going through Winter. There are some very talented photographers here. I don't mind if other people use my photos that way too, but please don't re-post them on the internet without acknowledging where you got them. Thanks.

Babka, did you note that I came back and gave credit after I noticed.

Just trying to keep a little life here.

I think it's going to be a long winter, it is cold here already. Good thread Phil and very nice pic. That is a gorgeous leaf photo John, which hosta is it?
Babka lovely hostas and coleus. Coleus are my second favorite plant.
Butch that is a striking hosta pic.

Here are a couple of mine from this year.

Beautiful pictures, Shade! I like Golden Waffles.

Thanks D! I like Golden Waffles too.

Thanks for chiming in Eileen! I thought this post might bring out some hosta folks! I always liked your hosta photos,Shade, and I'm glad to see that everyone, including you, also Babka, aren't sleeping! Keep posting, everyone! All hostas are gone to sleep here, and it is a dreary, rainy day here, with nothing to do outside. Phil

Like Phil said "Why we come to this forum." It is always fun to see all the photos and add to the wish list.

My earlier Hosta leaf is Paradigm, one of my favorites. Actually, I was just fooling around, seeing how Photobucket works.

Here is one of my favorite groupings (Montana Aureomarginata & friends)

    Hope to see more photos!

    Tsbccowboy-

That grouping is simply beautiful. The colors the textures, the shapes are so refreshing. I hunted and squinted to look for one little bug bite. Nada. That photo makes me smile!

Babka, thank you, you made me smile too.

Phil, beautiful pic. Droplets on Hosta leaves look great.

Here is White Feather, before greening up.

Not familiar with H.'White Feather', I did enjoy H.'Grey Ghost' this year as the new growth came up very pale then greened. I noticed when I put one of the 2 I have in heavy shade the pale color lasted far longer.

Nice White Feather,Cowboy! I bought what was supposed to be a bag of WF's last year. This year, none of them were it! As long as we're in the white leaf category, here's White Wall Tires, which I bought as an Undulata, and this is what transpired from that. Phil

Tony Avent told me he introduced H.'White Wall Tires' mainly for the breeding value, I've never made an intentional cross so I don't know.

I'm hoping this little sport or weedling shows the center green streaking or arrow like this next year.

Showin' white, thinkin' green, soon to be 'White Christmas' but first let's have a safe & happy Thanksgiving

Thanks for the greetings,John! While we're in the Christmas theme, here's Christmas Cookies, coming up in the garden for the first time this spring.
    Happy Thanksgiving everyone! Phil

How about some 'Christmas Candy' to go along with Phil's 'Christmas Cookies'?

Thanks,Cowboy! I really like centrally-variegated hostas! They are very unique. Phil

    The boards are rather quiet.

    Here are some white-centered Hostas.
