I agree that the last one looks like a Lepiota, or shaggy parasol. But neither one is really striking enough to be identified by a single photo. There are hundreds of species of mushrooms in our area, and identifying them requires looking at the gills, the stalk, the base of the stalk, snapping the stalk, watching for color changes in broken stalk or cap or bruised gills, fragrance, and making spore prints. Among others.

I have All That The Rain Promises, And More, which is a very limited field guide to west coast mushrooms - it says right in the beginning that it only includes about 10% of the local mushrooms one might encounter. But, it has the most striking ones, and the main poisonous ones, and the main edible ones, and how to tell those edibles from nonedible similar species; and it's way more affordable and easier to use than any other field guide on the market, and it focuses on our area.

I love looking at and identifying mushrooms. There's so many of them here, way more than there are spring wildflowers. And some are so pretty! I found a Western Amethyst Laccaria (sp?) in my front yard the other day. Who would have thought that some mushrooms are lavender or purple?? Or that that bright orange blob poking up through the forest humus is a lobster mushroom, which is parasitic on other mushrooms??
