It looks like quartz and iron pyrite--commonly found together.

Looks like some quartz.

We have quite a bit of marble down here in southern Oregon that looks like a few of your rocks, but not like all of your rocks.

You may have some of both.

I recall that Vancouver, WA does have a some yards with a lot of rock that can be dug up.

If you are in Vancouver, I remember a decent lapidary shop on SE Sandy Blvd. in Portland near about SE 70th. Used to window shop there when I was in high school.

Drag a few samples over there.

That rock shop is really good; it's called Ed's House of Gems, believe it or not.

It does look like quartz crystals and agate, but I'm just beginning in this stuff. Were these just in the dirt or do you have some sort of hillside? I've only dug quartz crystals out of a cavelike area.

Thank you for your help. Most of what we have found have been on the surface. The rains have exposed them. Some were found in piles of dirt from perk testing. I don't think there is any value in them but they sure are pretty and fun treasures to find. I'll look up Ed and let you all know what I find out. Thanks again. Patti

Your minerals are all basically the same stuff, quartz, in different forms. I don't see any pyrite in the mix.

There is some oxidation, that is the rusty color. Some of the milky-looking stuff is sometimes called "milky quartz", and the colored areas could be "chalcedony". Some of the pieces could be referred to as "agate", another form of quartz, but mostly the chunks are crystal clumps, although there are very few undamaged crystal faces in the lot.

The slabs of smaller crystals that have a few clean faces left are called "druzy quartz".

These specimens are pretty low-quality, although similar stuff is sold as holistic or healing stones.

I suspect this bunch of quartz may have been left behind as discards by an earlier rockhound on the property who collected them elsewhere, unless you dug them out from a deep hole or freshly exposed bank.
