I put mine out last weekend but I should probably put some new nectar in them so they'll be fresh. I'm over anxious for the little beauties. I bought my dad a feeder this week and he's in 7b. Hopefully they'll find it and make him happy.

I'll have to get my feeders out and up. ours are later than yours but thanks for letting me know they'll be early. My neighbor and i have a friendly turf war on who gets the most humming birds, I may beat her this year. Hee Hee ; )

Hello friends, They arive here about the middle of April. Last year on the eighteenth and the year before on the fourteenth. We'll hang ours on the eighth. Can't wait! Russ.

I've got my feeders up. I think I saw on one of the maps that someone spotted one as early as March 26 one year in my area but I think that would be very unusual to see one so early.

Kaye - That map is wrong. I still haven't seen one. lol
(getting impatient) What flowers do you have that are blooming when the hummingbirds arrive?

I know the feeling! They were on the map in Ft. SMith at least a week before I saw one and I'm south 25 miles. My first one came on April 3 and I think we have two now. The bulk of them (females)come about the middle of the month. Don't give up! The redbuds and Homestead verbena were about all I had blooming when they came.
