Have you any special tips to keep the squash bugs and borer-type bugs from destroying the plants?? That's always my problem growing summer squash. I love zucchini, but the plants get with those bugs pretty fast.

What kind of squash are you growing? I tried a new recipe recently for a zucchini dish that had bacon, onion, sweet corn, and cheese in it that was pretty good. My kids even liked it. How do you like to fix yours?

sprinkled some sevin dust on the plants, but I really don't know. the squash was a 4 variety pkg from burpee seed. one was a zucchini hybrid, a yellow butterlick, and 2 other hybrids that I can't remember the name of. If I start having a pest problem I'll call the master gardener hot line at the botanical center because I'm a total novice at this gardening thing
