It is a medium sized show, much smaller than the Philadelphia flower show. It is mostly vendors with nice displays. Some schools have their students do displays. These are very good. They have some novel merchandise forsale. We went there when we were looking for a landscaper and had a good time. It will take from 30 minutes to an hour. There usually aren't long lines and it isn't too congested. I prefer it over the Philadelphia show for that reason.

Thanks. That's sounds like what I'm pretty much looking for. I don't want to spend a day there especially with some non-gardening family members in tow, but if there's SHOPPING involved, now THAT'S something they can get down with!

And, I'm looking to have some landscaping done as well. Wouldn't have thought to look there(duh), so that's a great lead too.

I went to that website earlier and was hoping to find more info than what was available but your personal experience was definitely more in line with my hopes for the event.

In the same parking lot is the Allentown Farmer's Market. Primarily food/produce/meat-cheese-deli vendors. Good place for lunch after the Garden Show if you like farmer's market kinds of food.
