Need help ID'ing a flower please

There is a house on a road I occasionally use that has the most gorgeous perennial garden, so I'm assuming these are perennials. I'm sorry I don't have a pic, but the leaves and stems appear to be very light silvery gray, about 2 feet high, not bushy, with bright red button-type flowers sitting atop each stem. I'd say the flowers are maybe an inch across.

Any ideas?
