Hey Karyn,

Crystal has not looked yet, but my first instinct is P. actinia. Darker new leaves, 3 pairs of nectary glands on the petiole, single lobed leaves which have a slight tapering, and varying sized leaf bracts all point that direction to me.

I thought of a few others that look close, but P. actinia seems to be the closest so far that I can come up with. I'll have Crystal look at it later, and see what she comes up with. If she disagrees, I'm sure we'll all here about it...

Thanks Eric. I will be quite pleased if that's what it turns out to be. Hopefully it will bloom over the summer.

Unfortunately, that is one thing about P. actinia that I finally figured out is that it only blooms in late winter / early spring, as things are just beginning to warm up. Mine just finished last week...

I guess that one will go into the greenhouse intact this fall as long as it stays a manageable size.

I have to agree with Eric. Looks like P. Actinia to me in all of the characteristics he pointed out. I was also thinking possibly P. Subrotunda, but the leaf veining looks a little different.
Anyway, I got my P. Actinia from Crystal and Eric, and was told that they have to get pretty big before they flower. I have heard from other people that P. actinia is one of the largest growing Passies. My vine is probably about 8 feet now, and I hope to get some buds this year, but who knows.

My actinia have both flowered in the 6-10 foot range. Good luck with yours!

I'll give it a couple seasons to see if I can get flowers here. I guess it all depends on being able to move it in and out of the greenhouse without having to cut it back much. I have a feeling I'll have the same issues with size with the membranacea.
