Boy that looks nice and clean!!! This pic is similar to your house, just reversed: [houzz=]

I like the brick lining your driveway. Picking up on a warm color for your front door would help it stand out, more and I would consider doing something to break up the mass of the garage door, like painting it tan or brown.

Simularly, I think some nice bright pops of color and light foilage in the landscaping would help--maybe some ornamental grass, orange and yellow day lillies, dusty miller, etc... would be nice. An ornamental tree in front could be a nice contrast to the dark house color too. Potted annuals with sweet potatoe vine could be a nice accent too in the summer.

Victorianbungalowranch. I have since painted my front door black to match the shutters and it looks amazing. What kind of tree would you recommend for in front of the house?

Check out local nurseries for ornamental trees that do well in your area. Two of my favorites are Stewartia and Redbud. Redbud in the background: Fabulouse leaves:

If black-eye susans do well in your area, colorwise they would look great along the driveway. So will Japanese Anemone. Here is a great garden with Oakleaf Hydragea, Japanese Anemone, and sedum, among other gret plants.

In the foreground of this photo is a Oakleaf Hydragea, which is beautiful. The flowers last all winter and the leaves turn maroon in fall:
