I have never tried to put DE into a squeeze bottle, I just dusted where needed by hand. Handling DE is quite a bit like handling flour and can be a very dusty process.

I prefer to use a squeeze bottle and purchased a couple just for that purpose. Mine are made to apply a stream of dust under pressure....with a smaller opening than the usual squirt bottles.

I fill mine with a spoon, very little dust or mess involved. The opening is large enough to accomodate a rounded measuring tablespoon inserted inside for easy filling. I still wear a mask but there's no 'visible' dust.

I would like to mention that I never, ever use DE in the garden or yard. Not only is it a broad spectrum pesticide that is harmful to any arthropod, but it's persistant. That bothers me. I make use of it in my garage, where black and brown widow spiders continue to thrive in spite of frequent cleanings and use of the trusty shop vac.

Well, I did use it in my garage, as I also have spiders and black widow spiders, too. I also used it in my garden - that is, what there is of it. I'm still putting it together. But I'm trying to discourage the black crickets and probably cockroaches from using my rock wall planter.

I use a turkey baster hahaha. Works great!

does the turkey baster suck the dust up easily?
