three things are a given in life...

Taxes, death, and black tip on my Singapore Obtusa.

Seriously, this may be the 3rd year of lots of new branches but no blooms. From what I gather, there is no realistic way to prevent this? Busch Gardens has a couple nice big ones out front in 100 gallon pots but they have theme park magic at their disposal. I'm sure they spend the winter rolled into a climate controlled environment.

I am wondering what to do with it. It serves no purpose if it doesn't produce blooms. It actually defoliates every winter as well so it isn't evergreen for me. I originally wanted it for the scent and to remind me of my old office in Hawaii that had a big one out front.

Does the DSP also have the same black tip problem? If not I might replace it with one of those.

Appreciate any tips- pun intended :)
