Vinca leaves with yellow dots/rust?

Hello, all. I was wondering if this was rust on my vinca (minor?) flowers. I received these from my boyfriend's mom a few days ago, because she had too many.

I have a hollyhock flower growing (it's only about 12" & not blooming yet) & I identified rust on its leaves; I tried to slow it down by cutting off the rusted leaves so it's basically naked right now...but just yesterday I noticed the vinca showing similar yellow dots. I read about how difficult it is to remove the rust disease from hollyhock & now I'm afraid it has gotten to my vinca.

Is there anything I can do to get rid of the yellow dots? Any products or homemade remedies to stop/prevent rust or whatever this is? Any help is much appreciated.

If it is rust, the backs of the leaves should have dark spots which correspond to the yellow dots on the top surface.

If it is rust:
- Stop any overhead irrigation. Or, at the very least, water early enough in the day that the leaves dry long before nightfall.
- Remove and destroy any infected leaves.
- Place the plant in a bright, airy site.
- Hollyhock rust won't spread to vinca.

That looks like stippling from spider mites.

I never did see the dark spots on the underside of my hollyhocks or the vinca, so I think it is from spider mites. I'm glad it's not rust, but I'll be sure to do what I can so the hollyhocks don't get rust. I'll get to working on removing the spider mites & saving my plants today. Thanks again for the help!
