Want to build a banquette

I have a typical Florida L shaped living and dining room. The dining area is in the small part of the L. To give us more space I want to build a corner banquette with storage below and I would like to build it myself. I have more enthusiasm than experience. Have any of you built one? Would you recommend trying it? Where did you get the directions?Thanks

IF you Google "build a banquette" many DIY articles will appear. I'd first look to see if I could buy & compare cost.

Sorry this is so late but I am currently building one and I used Ikea storage cabinets and peg board to build mine along with foam and fabric. It's a lot of work but its working out and I'm almost done.
