bw, Ive looked around for an identity to this insect to no avail. The closest I could come was the False Bombardier beetle....but not real enthused about that guess. Look up images to compare.

How large is this critter, by the way?

bwhockey17, unless it is a pest of structures - house, barn etc., you might be able to track it to a tree or shrub. Quite interesting detective work - after dark, flashlight, pulled down hat, coat with turned up collar, pipe (lit or unlit - optional).

Not very large, and it's weird since we didn't have this problem up until about a week or so ago. It's about the size of an ant, maybe a tad larger. The seals on the backdoor have worked, however they are now somehow getting into the garage and through the front door. I'm thinking it looks like some sort of beetle, but I can't be certain..Anyone have any suggestions on how we can just get rid of these pests? I'm open to pretty much anything at this point
