Random zucchini failure?

Hello!
I have 3 zucchini plants and two yellow summer squash plants in the same bed. 2 of the zucchini plants and the summer squash plants are doing well and producing good fruit - but the 3rd zucchini plant is epically failing. The fruit gets 1 inch long and then just rots off. Any ideas why most are doing beautifully and the one is not? I've inspected for squash vine borers and haven't seen any evidence. Maybe I'm missing it? Would it be something else?

In the photo below, starting with the top left (numbered 1) and going clockwise: successful zucchini (directly to right of failing plant), successful yellow squash (directly to left of failing plant), failing plant, and fruit taken from failing plant.

Not being pollinated.

You get to be the bee.

Early in the morning, find one open male an one open female. Strip[ the petals from the male, then rub the yellow peg onto the the female's sticky central peg.

If a 2nd female is open, use the same male to service it.

They are rotting before the flowers even open :(

Hi. This is my first year with Zuchs, so I may not be able to help much, but I will share what I have learned so far.

First I'll say you post makes me wonder how many have you lost and how long has this been going on? In my zone, (central OR) they just started producing babys a week or so ago, and the frst couple did the same thing. No flowers open, and fruit withering. Only last week did flowers open, and I'm playing birds and bee's like crazy now. Have some even big enough to try! Give it another week, I think you'll see flowers opening soon! Anyway, I hope so!!
