pure speculating.. presuming you have one source of water.. how can only some of the plants be affected ... or maybe that ?? shows my lack of the system

Do a search for "spider mites on pepper plants". Suspect this is the problem.

I think that might be the culprit! I went out and looked closely at the leaves and didn't see anything, got a magnifying glass out and still didn't see anything, but I continued turning over leaves and eventually I did see a small amount of bugs scattered on the bottom side of some of the leaves. Now I'm on a mission to kill those buggers!
