Sarah, is this Black River tile from Daltile? The current product offering looks more black than the gray in this picture. Is it the grout that is giving it the gray look?

If you want a high quality pebble tile, avoid companies that sell all types of tile, such as glass or ceramic. There are only a few companies that specialize in high quality pebble tiles from Indonesia. The black pebble pictured above is from China and is covered in a polish that makes it look jet black. It is cheap and will not last the test of time. The tile in the picture is not cobblestone obsidian. It is a pebble mix such as ocean blue or borneo mix.

Although "Zen Paradise" is correct about the product coming from China they are wrong that they are covered in a polish. The China Polished pebbles are tumble polished to a high shine and they will in fact last a long time. Although products from Indonesia are in fact more "natural" and sometimes preferred.

I would be careful buying from a company that speaks negatively and incorrectly about a competitor or their product.
