Bob,,, Same as mine,,except I wrapped exterior with 2 layers of 5 mil plastic. Plywood on the roof with 2f by 2 ft. hole..I then set 27in sg. piece of glass on the roof,,setting it in roof tar around the perimeter. Then ice guard over plywood. I added outlets inside with a window I can remove with a screw gun...Then I can check and water if needed during the winter. Last year I watered my windmill at least 10 times during the winter. Temps never went below 50 degrees and that is when we were at coldest temps....normal high is 60 inside. That is why my palm grows all winter.,,I want it to look great in mid April when I remove the shelter,,,,,I know im going overboard but maybe some of my ideas will interest you,,,Bill

Man Bill, that is awesome! Definitely some great ideas! My goal with this set-up is to keep the temp inside the enclosure above 20*F during the coldest stretches. I imagine I will be making some adjustments to this before winter is over. After all it's only gotten down to 19*F here so far.
