What do I do?

First pic is something infesting the tree,,, mealy bugs maybe. Can you look with a magnifying glass. Or do you see movement when you touch the white spots?

Second pic of the little bumps close to the stems are natural....

I would spray with Bayer 3 & 1. On a cloudy day. Over the top and under leaves... Are all of the leaves infested?

Thanks for the info - It doesn't look like mealy bugs - they aren't soft -and they don't move - they are hard and seem imbedded in the leaves. Where do I buy the Bayer 3 & 1 spray? I have never heard of this -- I received this cutting from a father of a very dear friend that passed away and it means a lot to me so I really need to get it healthy! Oh and yes it is on all the leaves. Could it be from too much fertilizer? I am only guessing - how often should I be fertilizing it? This is my first plumeria tree ever! thanks so much.

I have looked and looked under the microscope and these are not mealy bugs - they look more like burn marks in the leaves? There are bumps on the bottomsides of the leaves as well. Anybody? The plant is under enough stress and I hate to be Bayer 3 & 1 on it if I don't know what is wrong with it. Thanks

Perhaps scarring @ previous thrip feeding sites, but more likely 'oedema', which is very often brought on by cool, overcast weather and an excessive volume of water in the plant's root zone.

Thanks Al - it does seem to match up with other pictures when I search that on the web- I had know idea - it's been cool and cloudy and I guess I am overwatering it.

I have it too. Its like someone has dropped washing powder on the plants.

The leaves become very limp, go yellow with brown dry patches and fall off.

Will the above treatment work for this too?

As to the comments that I made long ago about those little bumps being natural... After much research I found them to be called "Extrafloral Nectaries". They are Nectar secreting plant glands which will cause ants and bees to be attracted to the sweet secreting glands....

The sap that is visible could be from a hard rain shower.. I get this sometimes from the aftermath of a hard rain. It could be the damage to the leaves and then the leaves secret the white sap to protect it.. I wouldn't worry unless you can see visible insects. If you have had something to cause damage to the leaves ( wind, rain, hail) then that would be my guess.
