Day Breaker is my vote.

From the pics of Day Breaker it looks like it isn't as vibrantly orange as this rose. That may have something to do with the climate????

I thought about Eureka too, I think that might be too yellow, though.

Eureka certainly looks closer to this rose than Daybreaker. Almost the same but not quite. This one the buds are darker, almost deep coral sometimes. And then they seem to have more pink as the blooms age.

Maybe Rio Samba? Rio Samba starts orange and will turn completely pink in a few days after opening.

My Eurekas never turn pink at all. They fade to pale yellow. It sounds like it could be Rio Samba, to me, too. But mine usually start out yellow, go to orange and red,then sickly pink-white.

I think Rio Samba is probably it. Is Rio's new growth dark burgandy colour? Does anyone know? This rose has very glossy dark green leaves that start out deep burgandy. The flowers don't have much fragrance but they seem to last a long time if not cut.

Rio Samba is a good guess. New growth is indeed a very deep burgundy. Little fragrance.

I'm new to Roses - how easy is it to grow here in KY?

I'm not sure what zone you are in Redcoat. I'm in BC, Canada in zone 5. Up here it has survived 2 winters with temps down to -23C (I think that's about -10F) with absolutely no problem. In summer we have temperatures which hover around the 100F mark and that doesn't seem to bother the plant much either. It has shown no sign of Blackspot or Powdery mildew or Rust except just now in the last couple of days. But that is not surprising as it is Fall. Easy, healthy, lovely bush.
