Looks like another Oklahoma - how's the fragrance?

I'm not sure if this is Oklahoma, as it is a very deep crimson. Maybe Chrysler Imperial?

The fragrance is strong for a red in my opinion. Isn't Oklahoma a darker red?

i am going to make a guess. there is a rose called "phoenix". yours maybe it. looks exactly like mine.

Very similar flower in colour and shape to Mme Isaac Periere. The Oklahoma photo I have in "Gardening Easy: Roses for a Beautiful Garden" is very much a red not pinkish rose. Janine

Oklahoma tends to vary it's color a great deal depending on tempertures.

Mine tends to only be a deep dark red when it is HOT (good news for you in Tx, eh?) but if it is milder it will go to that smoky pinkish color.

Chrysler Imperial (one of Okalhoma parents, BTW) tends to stay redder or bluish, but it doesn't pink.

Some of you should consider the tendencies of red in the typical digital photo. Failure to accurately render red is the most common problem.
