A small dog shouldn't make scratches in the wood itself, however, if the nails aren't kept trimmed, you may see scratches in the finish. With any wood floor, dogs large or small should have their nails trimmed regularly to minimize the possibility of scratches.

I went to your website and it said you have a "Hardwoof" section coming soon, tailored to dog owners. I love the look of this darker stained Brazilian cherry, but would absolutely need it in an engineered wood. Do you have a product like that? I did not see it on your site as of yet. Thank you.

The "Hardwoof!" product is dog-friendly because the finish is SO hard, minimizing the effects of dog toenails scratching the flooring. "Hardwoof!" is manufactured by one of our long-time associates in the business, and we would be happy to refer you if you are further interested.
