after reading my last post that just made no sence I quest you can tell I wasn't making much sense sorry .
I hope you can understand me better today .
Just want to give thanks to all my wounderful gardening friends who have really brighten up my dads heart.
the gifts & cards have really flowed in this week to him
& he has been calling everyone to tell them he got a box
at first he thought I had all the gifts sent to him or that I was sending the boxes to him .
but my brother jim finaly convenced him today that the gifts were from my gardening friends.
he just couldn't believe that strangers would send him cards & gifts , He now knows there are good people out there. thank you all & I hope you put me on your list to help out someone close to you.

carol the bluebird box came today while my brother was here & he had to open the box for him when he pulled out the the house daddy was speechless he said who would send such a gift ?? when I told him my gardening friend
he said how can I thank her & well I told him I will take care of it thank you with all my heart .

i didn't get his pie baked for as you all know I have been under the weather here & I don't know the cause but
have a dr's apt for monday . so mean while just taken it easy.

Jan : sorry about your lost , & I wanted to say thank you for the caard to daddy he recieved it today.

my father is about blind & this is a hard thing for him to deal with but I do believe the cards & gifts have given him allot of blessings .

the box arrived. thank you kindly shannon for the tulip bulbs, which i planted. our weather has been very favorable of late. also, as a part of shannon's gift to me was a wall hanger/tile. it's quite lovely and i already found a place for it.

the robin is a little different than i had expected, to be totally honest, and i did in fact talk to sue, at length about it. in any event, i will be going through it and forwarding it on to the next person and will post when that occurs, to include the confirmation number.

i do have something special for the next person in line, who i believe is sassy. if that's wrong, please let me know.

Hi Susie, I'm like Beth, I had that mess for 3 weeks too, and thru Christmas, no less....I received the address and will have a card out tommorrow for Dad. Wow, I'm overwhelmed at all of his gifts! Bless his heart, he deservses it! I want to thank you for taking a chance on me for this robin and it just breaks my heart what has happened here, but please know, I hate it for you! You just did not deserve this kind of treatment. I will be more than happy to fix up a box for Janet, and will do my best to have it out on Monday. I'll post here when in flight! Thinking of you and hope you feel better very soon.

wow, whatever happened to my post, where i said what i took and that i mailed the box? something very strange is happening. this is the second thread where i know for certain my message didn't come across.

i have confirmation at home, i'm not there now. i would have thought it would have been delivered by now. i had "words" with the postal clerk, who was a J E R K. everything "look suspicious" to him. he hated that i used my own postage (sas - you'll understand that when you see the box) - it cost a little over $15.00 to mail and i have all kinds of stamps. he argued with me that my $5.00 stamps were 5 cents and the measurements were off. when i say he was a jerk, i am being real polite. i told him i would be back if it wasn't delivered timely and based on the fact that i am paying priority - 2 days. you know how he responded? (jerk that he is) - he put his "WINDOW CLOSED" sign up. seriously though, the words i had with him (i was mailing a lot of stuff that day and he opened one package, rejected another because i was mailing media mail and i had a card in it - that's what i get for being honest) i thought for sure, if there are postal police, they were going to lock me up.

i'll post later tonight what the confirmation number is.

i think i posted earlier what my gift was - a wall tile and a couple tulip bulbs. my dog took the dog toy, a heart windchime and some kind of bead hanging, which i found interesting, and two patriotic items (a bag and a hanging).

will check back later tonight and post confirmation number.

Sure hope you didn't have to lick all those! I had to go get all my shoppin' done for all these robins so I swung by the po on the way back home....will post again a little later... So sorry he gave you such a hard time, as long as it has sufficient postage on it, its none of his business how you get it on there, and I'll have somebody's head they open up my boxes after I've gone to all that trouble to pack nicely!

carol, magazines should have been allowed at media mail rate. i actually asked the jerk, i mean clerk, if he needed an enema, he was so uptight. don't worry, i have all the necessary equipment for underground, the moles won't come anywhere near us adn we'll just collect the worms for our gardens.

Hello Ladies. It has been a crazy week here and I couldn't get on my computer at all. In the midst of the insanity, my grand daughters (all 3 of them), got into the Robin Box, unwrapped all the gifts and divvied them up between themselves. We had a treasure hunt, locating and rewrapping everything. I got everything rewrapped and packed up yesterday and on its' way to Debbie. The confirmation # is

Well, Earthly, I took a little fold-out organizer that I really need to keep all my gardening addresses and notes together in one place, a "Little English Cookbook" that has several recipes that I'm interested in trying, 2 pot markers that I couldn't resist for my houseplants, an issue of Garden Gate magazine pertaining to annuals and deadheading how-to, and a package of coloring markers to keep the 3 year old busy while I am doing other things. Also, my special gift from sassyd was a pack of georgeous, glittery scented wax that I plan to put into a basket in my bathroom for decoration and lovely smell. Since I saw all the mystery gifts before I had made a choice, I thought it would be unfair to take one of them, so I just rewrapped them, added my contribution and Debby's gift to the box and sent it on. There are lots of wonderful things there, still, and the mystery is intact. Thanks, Sue for allowing me to participate and I'm sorry for my disaster.

I'm surprised that the English cookbook was still in the box! Wow, that was from me. I was the second person to receive the box, and the box has went through sooo many people.
Some of the recipes sounded soo yummy! I wrote them down and inserted them in a favorite cookbook of mine, and passed on the book.

My Hubby kept trying to put it back into the box, saying there was nothing fit to eat there. I had to hide it from him. I don't know why recipe books scare him. I plan to try several of the recipes when he's not looking. I love cookbooks and trying new (to me) recipes. Thanks for putting it in the box.

Sue, just so everyone knows, Janet & I emailed each other and I thought it was understood, but now not sure...... I told her instead of me getting alot of extra gifts for her for this box just to take the gifts I had wrapped in Ara's box. If we ever hear from Ara, I'll be happy to send her more gifts, but its been since the 2nd week in Nov. Thats the reason Janet got only 1 gift from me in this particular box....because I thought the others were to be included....my bad....as the kids now say!

talking about dj I have to share my story with you.
Monday morning after the babies were born I went to town when I returned home as usual I let Dj Out of his cage so that he can go play in the bathroon up on the shower curtain rod , where he has his swing .

I went in to check on him & he was gone I looked High & low I called for him no answer , I even went out to the other room No dj. I had the window open for the cats to come in & out & thought he might have went out when I was busy with the babies so I go out & call for him was out for 15 mins or so looking for him .
came in & took my coat off & said burrrrrr well then I heard dj say burrrrr so then I knew he was in the house so I started looking agin & calling no answer.

well long story short I figure he will find his way out where ever he is . so I went to get some fresh water for the birds & when I lifted the toilet seat to you know :))
there he was yep he fell in the toilet & the lid came down onto him :)) after getting him out he says burrrrr .

he is just to funny . but hes ok :)) don't think he will go to the toilet no more :))

well hope I didnt bore ya just had to give ya a laugh :))

I got the box from Janet yesterday. It was packed to the brim.

I took out 2 packs of seeds, a mystery box & my gift from Janet.

My gift from Janet was an angel music box. Thanks Janet, it's beautiful. :)

The mystery box had a journal in it & a seed snatching kit. The seed snatching kit was a pretty drawstring bag that had snippers, ink pen & seed envelopes in it. This will be perfect to keep in my glove box for those unexpected seed finds.

I added a couple of items to the mix. Plus a new mystery box & a gift for Sue. I mailed it this morning.

I sent it priority but since Monday's a holiday it may take an extra day.

Thanks Sue for including me in your robin.

I forgot to mention that the seeds envelopes & the drawstring bag both look like they were handcrafted. They are very pretty.
