Carol, I wouldn't be at all supprised if we were related! I've been growing roses for years. The kind you buy at the store. But I've never rooted or seeded one. And just earlier this year I was talking to someone about doing that, so I'm trying to learn how. Funny thing is Roses seem to be the only thing I can keep alive. Then again they are the only thing I know how to properly prune and care for, well that and mums. So at least I have one summer flower and one fall flower down right? Well I think I'm just going to try to pot it and see what happens. My biggest set back is my yard only gets about 3 hours sun a day, maybe 4. Oh well, I'll let you know what happens.

Please let me know how you make out, so maybe there will be hope for me. That squirrel sure is ambitious, it keeps digging up my rose. Tomorrow I'll put it in a bigger pot & try to scour up a pop bottle to cover it. Sure hope that discourages "Digger O'Dell". Good luck with your efforts.
